**Restaurant Wars**

The Challenge

The task of the competition was to duel other popular restaurants 1 by 1 in an effort to impress tough food critics. 1st they are presented an envelope containing the secret ingredient for the round. They are then given 5 minutes to decide what meals they will prepare for the 4 judges. They then are given a budget of $30 only and 20 minutes shopping time to buy the ingredients. Then they have only 30 minutes to produce a 2 course meal for 4. The judges then decide the winner of the round after eating and analysing the meal.

So how’d they go?

Unlike many other competitors who were over budget at the checkout Kane was breaking records. Weighing in under budget and in an average of 10 to 15 minutes shopping time. Then afterwards Kane would go back and see what other ingredients he could buy to refine the flavour. They did a great job of impressing the judges. Even though Kane usually used his own sauces and home grown herbs he still managed to get through to the final round with the packet products from the supermarket. Kane also cooked the meals on his own without the help of any other chef’s in his kitchen. Narrowly missing 1st place as Restaurant Wars Champion Kane was very proud of his work.
